*99% of the entire freshmen class at L.C. Bird will be promoted to 10th grade
*Success Program SOL scores are as high (or higher) than any school in Chesterfield County
*Algebra 1 / 98%
*Geometry / 97%
*World History I / 90%
*World History II / 100%
*Success students achieved 42 Advanced SOL scores
*A record number of Success students were recognized at the End of the Year Awards Assemblies for the entire school
*36 Success freshmen acheived over a 3.0 GPA at the completion of their freshman year
*Over 60 Success students successfully completed the Jumpstart to Success Program this summer by earning two verified credits towards graduation

Congratulations to Carol Cortez for being selected as the Chesterfield County Youth of the Year!!!!!!
As a former freshman in the Success Program she graduated in only 3 years. During that time she was an outstanding mentor and created a "girl's group" for all female Success students.
